Tiki Tan ("we," "us," or "our") operates a text-messaging (SMS) program to communicate with our customers about salon services, appointments, memberships, packages, customer support, and promotional offers.
By participating in our SMS program you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy.
2. How You Opt In
Customers opt in to receive SMS messages from Tiki Tan by voluntarily providing their mobile number during in-store account registration, appointment booking, membership enrollment, or checkout.
Providing your mobile number through any of these channels constitutes your consent to receive recurring SMS messages from Tiki Tan related to your account, services, and the topics described below. You may opt out at any time (see Section 5).
3. Types of Messages You May Receive
Once opted in, you may receive any of the following from Tiki Tan:
- Appointment reminders — upcoming appointment and confirmation messages
- Tanning session notifications — bed-ready, session-complete, and check-in updates
- Package expiration reminders — notice that a tanning package or sessions are about to expire
- Membership updates — renewal, billing, freeze/cancel, and account-status messages
- Customer support messages — replies to your questions and service-related communications
- Promotional specials and salon offers — daily specials, seasonal promotions, and member offers
4. Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies based on your activity, appointments, membership status, and the offers we are running. Most customers receive only a handful of messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Tiki Tan does not charge for the SMS messages we send; any messaging or data fees are determined by your wireless provider.
5. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can opt out of our SMS program at any time. To stop receiving messages, simply reply STOP to any text you receive from Tiki Tan.
After you reply STOP you will receive a one-time confirmation message and we will not send you any further SMS messages from that program unless you re-subscribe by opting in again.

7. Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase
Your consent to receive SMS messages from Tiki Tan is not a condition of any purchase. You can purchase tanning sessions, packages, memberships, and any other services without agreeing to receive text messages.
8. Privacy & Data Sharing
We treat your mobile number as personal information. Your mobile number and the personal information collected through our SMS program are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We use trusted third-party providers (such as our SMS gateway and our customer-management system) solely to deliver the messages you have agreed to receive and to operate our salon services. These providers are contractually required to protect your information.

9. Supported Carriers and Carrier Liability
Our SMS program supports AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most major US wireless carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages depends on factors outside our control, including your carrier's network, your device, and signal availability. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered.
10. Eligibility
To opt in to our SMS program you must be the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provide and at least 18 years of age. Tiki Tan does not knowingly send marketing SMS messages to minors.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
